Vivendi Games Mobile announced the release of Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart and Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, two new games for mobile devices, the first being created for the Java platform while the 3D one is made for Symbian handset. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart is the newest mobile title from the famous Crash Bandicoot franchise that began to attract gamers over a decade ago.
The 2D and 3D versions of the new game are similar - except the graphics quality, of course - and feature 16 enrapturing racing tracks and eight various environments (outer space and underwater surroundings included). After you select a Crash Bandicoot character to play with, you have to be ready to race against the other characters. During the races, anyone can use the ten available weapons and power-ups (like Turbo Plane or Kart Jacking) in order to win the game.
Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart offers five playing modes: Arcade, Cup, Monster Truck, Sudden Death and a unique "Story mode" that comes with in-game challenges that will enable you to unlock exclusive features.
Talking about the new Crash Bandicoot games, Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile, said: "When we decided to create a sequel to our highly successful 2004 mobile game of the same name, we knew we had to set the bar very high and come up with the best kart-racing game available on mobile phones today. We benchmarked all racing games on mobile phones - not just kart-racing games - and pushed the technology and graphics to the limit in both 2D and 3D and then added the craziness and attitude that make Crash Bandicoot games special. The result: a Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart game that really packs a punch with all-new backgrounds, tracks, weapons and even different driving sensations."
Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart and Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D should be available in the near future across Europe, coming with an ample marketing campaign as well as with Crash Bandicoot Grand Prix races organized in the "main European markets". Vivendi doesn't mention which markets exactly, but we assume these details will be revealed soon.
